Teens as Teachers Trainings
What are Teens As Teachers Trainings?
DIVE4Ag helped grow the Oregon 4-H Teens as Teachers program. In this program, high school youth work alongside agriculture professionals to co-create activities and virtual reality experiences for their peers. Teens have the opportunity to develop leadership and public speaking skills while gaining hands on experience in different agriculture fields.
DIVE4Ag Teens as Teachers youth are content co-creators for virtual reality apps and help create content like being a hologram! Teens also interview our Ag Science Café professionals, attend Ag Science Café workshops, and co-create lessons for our Ag Beaver Hangouts.
Past Training Sessions
Join the DIVE4Ag Teens as Teachers and learn how to educate others. Teens will help inform the creation of our virtual reality (VR) field trips and supplemental content like providing feedback and being a hologram in a VR simulation. Teens will also be involved in interviewing our Ag Science Cafe professionals, co-creating lessons for Ag Beaver Hangouts, and attending those monthly activities. Teens will receive a stipend after successfully completing the training. There are limited spots available. To apply, fill out the application above.
This is not another virtual meeting – we are cultivating a fun learning community! We expect teens to be present and participate authentically and be open to challenge and discovery that comes with learning new skills and topics. No prior experience with agriculture needed! Teens will receive a stipend after successfully completing the training. There are limited spots available. To apply, fill out the application above before October 4th.
