Meet the DIVE4Ag Team

Our amazing team of agriculture experts, scientists, students, educators, virtual and augmented reality experts comes together to create new ways of learning about and understanding agriculture practices and careers. We hope our results will encourage further ambitious work with youth and elevating youth voices.

Precollege Programs - Lead Partner

Precollege Programs will collaborate with the OSU Extension 4-H Youth Development Program and other DIVE4Ag collaborators to develop and share educational materials to its SMILE (Science and Math Investigative Learning Experiences) clubs and STEM events.

Precollege Programs' Beaver Hangouts will provide an avenue for K-12 students around Oregon to virtually meet with Oregon State University college students to learn about academic and career pathways in the field of agriculture.

Oregon State University Extension 4-H - Lead Partner

OSU Extension 4-H Youth Development Program strives to unlock a young person's potential to grow and thrive by providing accessible and welcoming learning and mentoring opportunities that ignite their sparks and build life skills. 4-H connects young people to engaging hands-on learning where they can apply the skills they developed and discover how their actions can make a difference in their community.

"As a person who is passionate about Ag Literacy and Outreach, I can’t wait to get started with DIVE4Ag by applying my experiences and input while also doing quite a bit of learning along the way. With the pandemic, we all got thrust into a digital heavy world and saw many of the benefits of technology; being able to help implement new technology into Agricultural Education should be a great experience."

Deidre Schreiber

DIVE4Ag Program Assistant

"I am so excited to work with the DIVE4Ag team to provide meaningful interactions with agriculture. I am currently a sophomore at Eastern Oregon University where I am studying Agricultural Science through the Oregon State Agriculture and Natural Resources program. I grew up in an agricultural community, so it is no surprise that my roots in the industry run deep. I enjoy being involved in production agriculture with my parents on our commercial cattle ranch. I quickly learned there was much more to agriculture than just production and set off to grow my leadership abilities in 4-H, FFA and rodeo courts. I found that my passion is really for connecting people to their food, fuel and fiber. I am excited to pursue this passion as we work to increase agricultural literacy through the DIVE4Ag program. "
